How to find company information on MCA

This content is regarding the process of finding any kind of information about a company through the MCA website.

Every Kind of information regarding a corporate identity can be found in the ministry of corporate affairs website using Company Corporate Identification Number. Further, Ministry of Corporate Affairs is responsible for updating itself with the changes taking place in the company and then releasing this master data to the public through its website. Thus, the updated information of the company is available on MCA website.

Process of finding Information about a company on MCA website is as follows-

Step-1

To access the master data of the company a person can Visit Ministry of Corporate affairs site and go to "MCA Services" on the main menu (click or tap), then he can go to "View Company or LLP Master Data" under the Master Data section located on the secondary menu (left bar).

A screen asking for the company/LLP name and CIN number of the company or LLP will appear. The seeker of the information is required to enter the required details in the same. A screen shot below show the screen that will be displayed - 

CIN / LLPIN Lookup

In case the seeker does not have the CIN number of the company and only the name of the company is available then he can enter the company name into the search box by clicking on the icon at the right edge of the field provided for "Company / LLP Name". Further, the list of the companies name along with their CIN number matching seeker’s result will appear. The screenshot showcasing the name of the company along with their CIN is provided below- 

The seeker is required to select his company name and matched CIN number which allows auto fill of the CIN number.  Then he can enter the captcha code and submit to get the Master Data of the company he searched for. The screenshot regarding this step has been provided below -

Step-2

Master data of the desired company will be displayed as soon as the form is submitted. See the screen shot below:

The seeker can either take a print or export to excel sheet by clicking concerned buttons given at the bottom of the result. In addition to this every director name shown as link, that is clickable to retrieve the companies they responsible as directors.
